Mi Familia Project Presentations begin on Monday 5/15/23

Congratulations to the students who turned in their Mi Familia - Family Tree - Projects in on time! (Monday 5/8/23)
  • Missing projects must be turned in by the beginning of class on Monday 5/15/23.
  • Project points are lost under the grading rubric category "Task Completion" the longer the project is late (please refer to Project Guidelines posted again below for further details) 
Project Presentations will begin in class on Monday 5/15/23
  • The student is allowed to use a script.
  • The COMO SE LLAMA? worksheet completed in class is the script. It is attached below. 
  • Students who are not quiet and respectful of other students' presentations will be removed from class, given a yellow slip, and points will be deducted from his or her own presentation.

Rough Draft of Family Tree - Homework due Monday 5/1/23

  • The students were given a family tree template in class on Monday 4/24/23 to take home and to use as a rough draft for their family tree project. 
  • The rough draft is due Monday, May 1st.
  • Please refer to the La Familia - Spanish Family Tree Project due date of May 8 for the project guidelines and student examples.
  • The rough draft must be done in pencil to allow for review and corrections in class.
  • The family tree template distributed in class on Monday is attached in this post.

  • Please open up all of the attached documents in this post 
  • Review them carefully
  • Be prepared to finish your script and begin practicing your group conversation with your group in class next week, Monday, February 1, 2023

  • Study the Spanish alphabet: the handout & videos from class are attached here
  • Know how to spell out your name in Spanish
  • Be able to listen to letters & words in Spanish, & write out on paper, such as days of the week in Spanish

Basic Spanish Phrases Quiz - matching vocabulary

The quiz on Monday 10/10 will include:
 
1. A short listening comprehension / dictation section spelling out Spanish words we have studied so far 
    --> like the dictation practice quiz we did in class on Monday 9/26
    --> study the Spanish alphabet & the alphabet videos 
2. A matching section of the Spanish Basic Phrases we studied in class
   --> the worksheet is attached here and in Gradelink for your to study 
3. You will be allowed to use your class folder on the quiz, so make sure you correct & complete all classwork, & take good class notes!

Sign the Work Habits and Behavior Criteria for Sub-grades in Spanish

A paper copy of this document will be given to the student in class to take home.
If the student is absent that day, the document is attached here as as well in Gradelink & can be printed out.
Parent or Guardian: Please read carefully, sign & date.
Student turns in the signed document on Monday 9/12 for 20 homework points.
