(They will not find all the factors.  We reviewed several divisibility rule they could use to help them, but they may not remember to use them. - DON'T STRESS- we are just starting this and will need time to become efficient- this will let me know what they remembered from class - still only 2 minutes pre problem.)

I know NO ONE will get it all correct - or even half of it.  THIS IS A LEARNING PROCESS!! Please give it time.  Encourage them to listen to explanations in class tomorrow- You should see an improvement each day.  By Friday, we should have a much better handle on things ;-)))

Mathematics: Play the Place Value Game B:

  • Parents shuffle the pieces.
  • Start the timer - two minutes. Student places all the pieces on the board where they think they go.
  • Stop the timer.
  • Use the answer sheet to remove any pieces in the wrong place.
  • Record how many were in the correct places in the planner.
  • Then use the answer sheet to replace the incorrectly placed pieces in the correct places.

Mathematics:  Play the Place Value Game, have a parent time you, and record your score in your planner. (Parents shuffle up the place value cards and say when they start the timer. Students place pices on the gameboard.  Once all the pieces have been placed, the student uses the answer key paper to put allthe places in the correct order.  Recored the time it took - including correcting- in the square in your planner.
 
Religion:  Set up a Prayer Center in your room or in your home.  Use a green cloth for Ordinary Time.  Put your candle and some other items in your Center that will remind you/your family to pray during the day.
