With half of your face normal, and half of your face as a WARRIOR, create a self portrait and submit here. Please do not use the cultural painting of the white face or any Chinese kanji/symbols. This can be entirely American style. (see below as an example). You MAY use Chinese floral on your side and greenery on the warrior side.

Include the photo of your self portrait here.

Use this to turn in your art slideshow. One person should “create” the slideshow and the others will simply mark as done when it is done and in the comments write who they worked with.

You will have two class periods to work on this together. Ideally, you should divide this up equally and each person will work on their assigned slides. Put yourself name on the bottom corner of a slide if you worked on it.

Please create a unique sugar skull to honor those that have passed. If you would like to make one that specifically references someone from your life or a notable figure that has passed, that could be great.

Use this area to turn in your four quarters paper of fall leaves. Please make sure to outline in black, and use fall/autumn colors in a gradient on each of your leaves.

If you were not present in class, please check out the attached guided drawing video which shows how to do the actual leaves.

For this assignment, I am asking that you fold your paper into quarters and put one different leaf in each of the 4 boxes. Use AUTUMN/FALL colors only.

Creating your own Mandala for calming and centering. Watch the video on how to create your own Mandala and spend some time with some calming music (I've linked the one I always play in class for you guys) to create one of your own, brownie points if it’s colored in! Feel free to create a unique pattern of your own, but the idea is to fill up as much of the blank page that you can. Take a picture and turn in here then put it on your numbered clip.

Op Art creation. (Due by end of period in next Friday's Art Class)

You will need:
White paper (lined paper fine if you don’t have plain white paper)
Black sharpie, pen, or marker (marker or sharpie are preferred)
Colored pencils or crayons (not markers)

1. Begin by making a curved horizontal line (think hills not mountains) from one end of the page to the other
2. Make 8 dots on your line. Make sure the distance between those dots varies and that you have a dot close to each end of the paper too
3. Start connecting the dots with bumps.The lines from the dots close to the edge will go off the edge of the paper to an imaginary dot
4. Keep making bumps. The lines will eventually go off the top and bottom of the paper.
5. Fill the WHOLE paper
6. Pick 2 or 3 colors that you think would go together nicely. Colored pencil or crayons, fill in the spaces. Press harder in the corners. As you get near the top of each bump, press lighter and lighter. This will create a shade and highlight effect. Alternate those colors along the same bumps
7. Continue until work is complete
