Act of Kindness Class Service Project

Homework
Our goal for this project is to perform at least one act of kindness (AOK) each day for seven days.  At the end of the day (or in class if the act is performed early in the day), students will illustrate the who, what, where, and how it felt in a picture drawing.  On the backside of the drawing students will detail who the AOK was performed for, what was the AOK, where did it happen, and how did it feel to help another.  We will catalog each act, each day with an illustration and written reflection.  Our goal is amass over 230 AOK in 7 seven days.  We feel the world needs more AOK's, and we are the right group to help out and add our gifts and contributions!  Please see attached.

Some of us are finishing our open-book Religion test at home.  Here are the questions:
 

Write two to three compound sentences to answer each question.


  1. Why did God create human beings, and what role do we have as God’s creation?


  1. Choose one Sacrament, and describe how it helps you to be a disciple of Jesus?


  1. Name a Beatitude, what it means, and describe how you may put that Beatitude into action in your daily life.


  1. How did Jesus build the Church and begin the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth?  Who were the first to establish the Church, and what did Jesus teach them so they knew how and what to do?

We finished all the Faith in Action pages and began working on the Unit 1 Review pages in our Religion book.  Tonight we are finishing the Unit 1 Review pages.  Our Unit 1 test will be on Tuesday next week.  Tomorrow we will share our Sacramentals in class.

Homework Project
Students are beginning to work on the Sacramentals this week (at home).  Most of the materials should be found at home or at a crafts store.  Today we sketched out our plan for the creating the sacramental we chose to make.  Projects are due by Friday or next Tuesday after the holiday.
