*** Teddy Bear Share Day with TK partners will be celebrated Monday, September 9th.  Tks will bring their Teddys to school and 4th grade can bring their Teddys to school.  Before we go to PE we will go to TK to have our Teddys "meet" each other and to share an animal cracker treat ;-)  If you have an extra Teddy to share with a 4th grader who does not have one that would be so wonderful of you to allow them to borrow it for the greet-and-meet time.  Our Teddys will say bye-bye to each other as we go off to resume our classes.  As long as they do not become distractions, students will be allowed to keep the Teddys at their desk during the rest of the day.  (Otherwise I get to "bear-sit" them till the end of the day- free ;-)

Literature:  Students choose 5 positive character traits they feel best describe themselves and write how they see that in themselves.  (i.e. helpful- when I see someone drop things or carrying a lot, I ask if I can help them.)  Then a parent chooses 5 OTHER positive characteristic traits they recognize in the student and how they see that trait in them.  The attached list of 175 positive characteristic traits was given to each child in class today.
