St. Charles School has reopened its doors to our TK-8th grade students for in-person instruction. Distance learning is continuing even as we have welcomed students back on campus. Parents were provided with the option to choose whether they would like their child to return to campus for in-person learning or continue remote learning at home. Our teachers are present in the classroom with returning students and while some students are in the classroom via Zoom.
We are very excited to see movement in a positive direction with respect to the coronavirus. In particular, we welcome the announcement earlier this week that California will begin lifting the restrictive measures of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy including following the new CDC guidelines on face masks starting June. With only about 3 weeks remaining in our school year, however, we do NOT foresee any changes to our current COVID-19 plan and procedures. We will continue to be vigilant with face masks, social distancing, cleaning hands, disinfecting classrooms, temperature checks, and our hyflex teaching schedule.
