3rd Grade!
Welcome to Third Grade!
Hi Third Grade Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School year! This is my 14th year here at St. Charles and I am looking forward to another excellent year! I am originally from New York and moved here in 2010 after finishing my Master's Degree in New York in Special Education. I have my undergraduate degree in Childhood Education. I look forward to meeting everyone and having a wonderful school year!

News
Week of 5/5
Dear Third Grade Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Please remember that our Oratorical Fair is coming up and students should be working on their sentences as home. All students should come to school with their 7 Oratorical Fair sentences on Monday, 5/12 to practice in class over the next seven days before our presentation date. Some days we will be practicing in the classroom and others in the auditorium. Students DO NOT need to have it memorized by then, but they do need to have it in writing for a religion class participation grade.
On Friday we will have our weekly spelling test on words with ei, ie, ai and ia spellings, a Social Studies test on week #14 and a religion test on chapter 8.
Also, we will be taking our last round of STAR tests next week.
Have a great week!
Mrs. Hurtado
