FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We rely on our community of current and past parents, alumni, grandparents, friends and parishioners every year to ensure our ability to offer an exceptional education to all our students.  Contributions to our SCBS Giving Fund touch every aspect of the school.

Your tax-deductible gift helps us apply financial resources to the areas of greatest need. Below are common questions and answers about our SCBS Giving Fund. For more information, please contact our Office Manager, Brenda Ianniciello at 818-508-5359 or [email protected].

Why doesn’t St. Charles simply raise tuition to cover the true cost of a St. Charles education?

St. Charles endeavors to maintain tuition rates that are comparable with peer schools and kept at a level that makes a Catholic School education possible for a wide scope of families with varying economic circumstances.

Keeping tuition rates moderated, without compromising the quality of our educational program, is an important core value at St. Charles.

How much am I expected to give?

Our request is that you contribute at a level that is personally meaningful and that makes sense for your family, keeping in mind the number of children you have at St. Charles.  Gifts range from $50 to $50,000.  Every gift is greatly valued and deeply appreciated.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

SCBS Giving Fund donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  All donors will be provided with a receipt listing our Tax ID number.

May I make pledge payments over time to maximize my family’s gift?

Yes. Please contact Brenda Ianniciello at [email protected], or call us at 818-508-5359 to arrange a personalized payment schedule.

Who is asked to contribute to SCBS Giving Fund?

All members of our extended community are asked to participate each year, including current and past parents, alumni, parishioners, friends, and grandparents.
